Installation Instructions

for Centered Mounting on Cathedral Ceilings...

 

for Mounting on Sloped Ceilings...


Our kits include mounting block with built-in electrical box, cable connector, (4) screws,(4) washers

FB90  Cut a 2X4 approximately 12" long, to span the pitch rafters.

FB45  Trim a 2X8 approximately 16" long. Allow the panel to extend 8-10 past the FB45.

Remove the knockout from the electrical box and insert the cable connector into the hole.

Install the FB50 into the center of the cut 2X4 using the (2) #8 x 1-1/2 screws provided.

Install the FB45 on the 2X8 using the (2) #8 x 1-1/2 screws provided.


Position the 2X4 with the FB90 attached to the angled rafters, keeping the bottom of the box level, and the short sides touching the angled rafters. Nail or screw the assembly, spanning both angled rafters.
 

Score and trim FB45 as necessary, keeping bottom of box level. (Short side needs to touch rafter) Trim wood as necessary to butt it to rafter. Nail or crew assembly to rafter.
Push the cable through the cable connector into the electric box.

Install Ceiling. FB90 and FB45 are paintable if required.
 



Install Fixture or Fan (not included) in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and all local applicable codes, using the (2) #10 X 3-1/2 long screws and
